Problem
1 in 5 women and 1 in 16 men in the Netherlands have experienced sexual violence. However, many victims do not report it. Reporting is crucial for providing appropriate help, information, and support. The Center for Sexual Violence (CSG) and the Ministry of Justice and Security (part of the dutch government) wanted to launch a campaign and were looking for two new websites to make it easier for victims to report sexual violence quickly.
My solution
While working at Greenberry, I worked with CSG and the ministry to find a way to lower the threshold for victims to report sexual violence. For both organizations, I worked on the concept and new copy for the website. I considered provocative words to make the reader feel safe and tried to make the texts resonate with the experiences of those who have experienced sexual violence.
